sunday funday.

Today was a perfect New England Fall day. The sun was out, and the foliage is in full bloom.
Not only was it gorgeous out but it's the kind of weather where you can literally wear anything and be comfortable. Which is basically a girl's dream come true. At least it's mine.

I decided to wear my new obmbre chambray(from Kohl's...can't believe I found such a great shirt there), my white Michael Kors pants, and my red TOMS. Whoever says you can't wear white after labor day is just missing out!
This picture has horrible quality, but OH WELL.

Slept with a messy bun and got surprised with some waves.

Once I was ready I met up with my boyfriend's mom and we went to go see his niece who is almost a year old. She is SUCH a cutie. We took her for a walk around this cute little pond, and enjoyed the sunshine and the vibrant leaves.

You can't really tell by the picture but this duck? or Loon? had the COOLEST color head. It was like a metallic blue/green.

Me and the snoozing baby :)

I can't believe this weekend is already over :(... back to work and the regular routine tomorrow. I'm glad I got to spend today outside though. I hope there are more days like this before winter takes over.

wine red.

Since the start of fall I've kind of obsessed with deep red colors. Trying out new nail polish colors doesn't scare me, however, LIPSTICK is a very new edition to my makeup regimen, especially such a dark, rich color....but I figured you only live once, why not trade in my regular nude or bare lip for something a little more sultry!

While I was grocery shopping the other day, I walked by the makeup aisle and saw they had Wet n' Wild lipstick for $.99. Can't beat that price, so I figured this would be a perfect opportunity to test the waters with a new color.

So, I went with this little guy. Also don't mind the dirt on this table...it's on my porch. NATURAL LIGHT BABIES.
I don't know what the color is called, or if it even has a name, but it DOES have this little "code" on the bottom.
I'll just call it "wine red"...sort of like the color of my favorite red wine, cabernet sauvignon! Yummm...

And here it is....ON MUH LIPS! It's definitely more dramatic than I'm used to but I LOVE IT! mwah!

Prior to my lip experiment, I had purchased some nail polish in a similar color...
Don't mind my OBSCENE cuticles...they are AWFUL. YIKES. anyway the color is called Cinna-Snap!
Perfect for fall, and it really does dry super fast AND it actually lasts without chipping for at least a few solid days.

Anywhooo. If I can pull these colors off (at least I HOPE I'm pulling them off???) anyoneee can. So awesome for fall and especially the holidays!

untilll my next post,

XO
